Post-Natal Care

I am here to support and nurture your body in recovering from the demands of pregnancy and labour to now raising and caring for your baby.

Many new parents feel both elated and exhausted once labour is over. The post-natal period can be a particularly vulnerable time in which the mother is often overlooked. It is such a huge adjustment from being free to run to the shop for milk or meet the girls, to being responsible for someone so small and vulnerable.  It is vital to take care of yourself at this time and support your body in healing and replenishing in order to fully recover your strength and vitality.

Chinese medicine often refers to the month following childbirth as the ‘Golden Month’ where focus in on bonding with baby and nurturance through mother warming treatments, healing diet and lifestyle practices. Treatments can support milk supply and ease mastitis, anxiety, shock following birth, post-natal depression, back pain and fatigue.

I went to see Noeleen when I had my baby almost one year and my energy levels were very low. Even mentally I felt drained. Noeleen is a brilliant listener and I could easily open up to her and trust. Through acupuncture I gained my energy back.
I couldn’t believe how great it worked. It was the first time I tried acupuncture and I always would try it again. It’s such a calming and gentle approach to the body.

Tailored to You

Using a holistic approach, together we will craft a treatment plan tailored to suit you, putting you back in control of your health and wellbeing. I will guide you through a synergy of integrative strategies including acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, bodywork and self-care practices based on my 5 pillars (Food, Move, Thought, Breathe and Rest), treating the root of any underlying issues and supporting your body’s own self-healing abilities.

How It Works

Chinese Medicine views the processes of the body as an energy system. Health and wellbeing rely on the smooth and dynamic flow of Qi (energy) through the body through a series of meridians/channels beneath the skin. Treatment aims to restore the smooth flow of Qi correcting imbalances such as deficiencies, stagnations, and excesses. It improves bodily functions and promotes the natural self-healing abilities of your body.
